First things first

Please arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment and expect to be in the office for 60 – 90 minutes.
Please be sure to bring insurance information, photo ID and completed patient forms.

When you first arrive and meet our staff, you'll fill out a registration form. This helps our team get to know you better.

After an initial consultation with the Hygienist we may decide to:

X-Ray – This allows us to get a better look at al your teeth and bone structure. X-rays are also critical for denture wearers, so we can determine if the bone structure is giving sufficient support for your dentures. We are also checking for fractures, tumors, cysts, lesions and other issues.

X-Ray review and initial examination – discussions about the reason for your visit and health history. Doctor Lomire will be looking for signs of:

  • tooth decay
  • bone loss
  • oral cancer - VELscope
  • periodontal (gum) disease

Oral Cancer Screening – An advanced oral cancer screening exam is an important part of the comprehensive oral evaluation. We use VELscope, a non-invasive technology that improves your dentist’s ability to identify, evaluate and monitor abnormal areas not visible in a conventional exam. There is an extra charge for this screening which is covered by some insurance companies.

Discuss recommended treatment plan – The Dental Laser Treatment Center is concerned about you overall oral health – we will recommend a comprehensive treatment plan that will address your immediate needs as well as long term needs to ensure a bright smile long into the future!

Before you leave do not forget to schedule your next appointment!
