The Dental Laser Center – Bringing High Tech Dentistry to the Tri-County Region
One of the premier dental facilities on the east
coast is closer than you think. The Dental Laser Center,
located at 1309 Route 100 in Barto, PA has settled into
its new state of the art dental facility. Edward C. Lomire,
DMD commented, “We are extremely happy to be in our
facility and to be able to offer our guests this level
of dental care.”
Visiting the Dental Laser Center is truly an experience.
The facility is themed as a relaxing retreat, making one
wonder if they are really even in a dentist office.
Facilities
The 7000 square foot facility contains high tech
equipment and luxurious guest amenities found in only a
few dental offices in the country. A cozy guest lounge
with fireplace and a 42-inch flat screen TV greets guests
as they enter the facility. The flat screen TV is used
for playing the numerous educational DVD’s as well
as television shows that guests request. There is also
a private guest conference room with digital presentation
capabilities. The concierge area includes a 250-gallon
tropical fish tank that is sure to amaze both adults and
children. The Dental Laser Center ’s seven suites
are all equipped with the latest dental equipment only
seen in 2% of all practicing dental offices across the
country.
CEREC 3D Technology
CEREC Technology, an acronym that stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, is a computer-aided design and ceramic restoration system that can lower expenses and add a new level of guest convenience never before available. Guests can be in and out in a single visit with a permanent all ceramic crown, onlay, or veneer. Benefits of CEREC Technology include fewer inconveniences, less drilling, and less time out of your hectic schedule for dental care. CEREC restorations are extremely durable and the CEREC materials are tooth-colored and metal free. CEREC is used in place of conventional restorative procedures and are typically are covered by insurance.
Laser Dentistry
Although having the CEREC technology drastically increases the on-site capabilities of a dental office, Dr. Lomire did not stop there. The new facility also has a family of lasers on site, each with varying wavelengths. Each wavelength is used for different procedures ranging from the removal of tooth decay to surgery and the modification of soft tissue. By investing in five types of lasers, Dr. Lomire has increased the opportunity to substitute traditional methods of guest care with quicker and more guest friendly laser technology.
With laser surgery, there is a reduced need for local anesthesia, bleeding is minimized, swelling is controlled, and there is usually little, if any, postoperative discomfort. Laser energy also enhances the effect of tooth bleaching agents for a faster and more effective result. Natural looking restorative materials for teeth are more quickly cured to greater hardness. Lasers that remove tooth decay are fast and seldom require anesthesia.
Intra-Oral Cameras
Wouldn’t it be nice to see exactly what your dentist sees? At the Dental Laser Center you can! Each suite is equipped with an intra-oral camera, allowing the staff to not only verbally explain, but also visually show you…in color. The Dental Laser Center also has surgical microscopes that are equipped with video cameras. Along with a full photography studio, the wide array of multimedia equipment allows guest to see and understand the procedures before, during, and after they take place.
Computer Enhanced Imagery
Speculation is never any good, especially when
it comes to important issues like your teeth. Lomire Dental
has the capability to show you side-by-side images of the
present condition of your teeth, as well as the desired
results they will be working towards. This capability allows
the guest to provide input they previously were not able
to.
